Lumière d’Ave began at home.

What started as a few friends gathered around my table for dinner quickly grew into recurring gatherings filled with food, laughter, conversation and always, candlelight. I loved creating spaces that felt warm and beautiful, not simply because of how they looked but because of how they made people feel. Over time, that love of gathering, design and creating an atmosphere became the inspiration behind Lumière d’Ave.

The name itself holds an even deeper meaning.

Lumière is French for light, while Ave is a tribute to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Together, the name has come to represent “House of Light or Light of Ave”; a reflection of both what we create and why we create it.

My connection to Ave Maria is deeply personal. While spending time with my mother in the hospital as she went treatment for cancer, I would hear the janitor singing Ave Maria as he mopped the floors. In a place filled with uncertainty, hearing that song brought me an unexpected sense of comfort and hope. It stayed with me long after those days had passed.

Today, that feeling is at the heart of Lumière d’Ave.

Through candlelight, thoughtful styling and intentionally curated details, we create warm and inviting spaces for people to gather and celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. Because to us, light is more than décor, it is warmth, beauty, hope and a reminder that even the smallest light can transform a room.
